Commission Decision on charging fees due under Regulation (EU) № 1227/2011 /REMIT/

On 17th December 2020 the European Commission adopted COMMISSION DECISION (EU) 2020/2152 of 17 December 2020 on fees due to the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators for collecting, handling, processing and analysing of information reported under Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council /the Decision/.

The fees introduced pursuant to the Commission decision are annual and aim at covering the expenses for the operations such as collecting, handling, processing and analysing of information performed by the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators /ACER/ pursuant to article 8 of REMIT. The fees are individual for each reporting entity and are calculated based on a set of components: a flat fee, number of transactions reported for the previous year and a positive or negative correction amount according to the actual reporting in that year /art. 5, par. 1 of the Decision/. ACER calculates the individual annual fees by the end of January each year in accordance with the components listed above and pursuant to the procedure of art. 5 and art. 6 of the Decision.

Based on the above, IBEX EAD will send to all reporting entities the amounts of the individual annual fees to ACER which shall have to be paid pursuant to the Decision. The fees will be charged with the invoices for March 2021.
